Information Handling Policy
The Australian Centre for Business Growth at the University of South Australia (ABN 37 191 313 308) recognises that protecting your personal and organisational information is important to you –it is important to us as well. We are committed to respecting and protecting personal and confidential information of the individuals and organisations with whom we deal.
The Australian Centre for Business Growth was established in 2014 and is part of the University of South Australia’s Business School. We deliver programs designed to help small to medium enterprises identify and address issues that are inhibiting growth, including innovative tools and break-through research to provide executives with the knowledge, skills and resources they need to drive growth and take their organisations global.
This Policy does not extend to external websites linked either to the AUCBG website or other University of South Australia websites. The confidentiality of your organisational information will also be protected by the AUCBG in the manner described in this Policy.
Information collected by the AUCBG may be shared within the University of South Australia. The University of South Australia (including the AUCBG) may use the collected information to market its product and services to you.
AUCBG may also communicate with any or all applicants to its growth programs whether they have been admitted to a program or not, to advise them of future programs or on matters related to the programs.
Collection Of Your Personal Information
We will collect personal information about you in the course of your dealings with AUCBG (e.g. when you complete the Contact Us form on the AUCBG website at www.www.fuadin.com, when you apply to one of our programs and complete onboarding documents via our website and secure online systems).
We only collect information that is necessary for our business functions and research projects. We may be limited in the services we can provide to you if we are unable to collect the information about you that we require.
We collect information about organisations and individuals who apply for or are accepted into the AUCBG programs. We also collect information about individuals who express an interest in or are accepted as Growth Experts for AUCBG programs and events.
We generally only collect your personal information directly from you. Although where the organisation you are employed by or associated with completes an online application form via our website or third party systems, your information will first be collected via third party systems before being transferred to us.
The types of personal information we collect about you, and our use of that information, depends upon the dealings that you (or the organisation engaging with us, that you are associated with) has with us. Generally, we will collect your name, position, employer/organisation name, contact number and email address. We may also ask you to upload a bio photo.
Collection of organisational information
We will collect organisational information from authorised executive team members (e.g. the CEO or COO) in the course of the organisation’s dealings with, and participation in, programs run by AUCBG. This information will be collected via email, phone calls, face-to-face meetings, secure online systems and AUCBG website www.www.fuadin.com.
We only collect organisational information that is necessary for organisation background and “growth diagnosis” prior to AUCBG programs, online assessments during programs, and continued research on your growth after the program. We may be limited in the services we can provide to you if we are unable to collect the information about your organisation that we require.
The types of information we collect about your organisation, and our use of that information, depends upon the dealings that the organisation engaging with us has. In most cases, we will request financials, organisation chart, product/service roadmap, and marketing and customer information as well as the completion of our Application Form or Online Registration Form (via our AUCBG website) and other online diagnostic tools and surveys via secure third party systems.
The data and information submitted for the purposes of the AUCBG programs will be stored in secure online systems, on cloud-based services and/or on the UniSA servers. Other than as provided in this Policy or with your consent, this information will not be provided to any external parties outside of the AUCBG, except for AUCBG Growth Experts who are engaging with your organisation.
Disclosure Of Your Personal & Organisational Information
AUCBG will use and disclose your personal and organisational information for the purposes for which we collected it, for other related purposes that you would reasonably expect, with your consent, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
Generally, these purposes will include all administrative functions in connection with the programs we deliver, providing you with products and services, providing you with information about AUCBG’s activities, programs, offerings, developments and to obtain your feedback.
AUCBG may also use aggregated data from online registration and application forms, and online diagnostic tools to conduct research and develop case studies. We will not publish your personal or organisational information e.g. name of your organisation or specific information about your organisation without consent from you first.
WordPress and UniSA will store the information submitted in the online Application and Registration forms to maintain a record of the submitted form and will disclose that information to AUCBG.
Your personal and organisational information may be disclosed to external contractors or temporary staff that may be hired to handle workloads during peak periods.
It is a condition of our agreement with each of our external contractors that they adopt and adhere to this Policy. If you have any concerns in this regard please contact us.
Peer-to-peer learning is an important component of the AUCBG programs. Each program participant is required to adhere to this Policy and agree to a confidentiality undertaking as a condition of participating in AUCBG programs.
Storage & Security
At all times, your personal and organisational information, is treated as confidential. Your personal and organisational information is generally held in your organisation file, on UniSA servers and in secure online systems.
AUCBG holds personal and organisational information in hard copy and electronic formats.We take measures to protect the information we hold including physical (for example, security passes to enter our offices and storage of files in lockable cabinets) and technology (for example, restriction of access, firewalls, the use of encryption, passwords and digital certificates) security measures.
We also have document retention policies and processes. In some cases, AUCBG engages third parties to host electronic data (including data in relation to the services we provide) on our behalf. All staff employment contracts include confidentiality obligations.
AUCBG does not generally collect sensitive information about you that reveals your racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, political opinions, and details of health, disability, sexual orientation, or criminal record. If we do collect sensitive information; we will first obtain your consent.
We will only use sensitive information for the purpose for which it is collected, for directly related secondary purposes and as otherwise permitted by law.
AUCBG will only disclose your sensitive information with your consent and as otherwise permitted or required by law.
Recordings of Programs & Events
AUCBG uses sound and image recordings of our events and programs to enable us to improve and market our programs and events. We provide each participant with the opportunity to sign a Talent Release form, providing the University of South Australia with consent to record, copy, edit, adapt, modify, distribute or exhibit individuals’ image, likeness, voice and/or transcript, in whole or in part, in any form or media, including the right to sub-licence these rights for educational and promotional/publicity purposes.
The AUCBG website www.www.fuadin.com may contain links to other websites. AUCBG has no control and is not responsible for the privacy or other information handling practices of the providers of these external websites.
We also cannot guarantee the privacy or security of personal or organisational information during transmission to our website. AUCBG takes reasonable, industry-standard steps to protect personal and organisational information from misuse, loss, unauthorised use, modification or disclosure, but AUCBG does not warrant and cannot ensure the security of any information, which you transmit.
Accordingly, any information, which you transmit, is transmitted at your own risk.
To the extent permitted by law, information is destroyed or permanently de-identified by AUCBG when it is no longer needed for any purpose for which it was collected.
Our website offers a registration service that will enable you to receive information about our programs, events, news and other information about the Centre. Should you register via our website we will collect personal information from you including your name, organisation name, phone number and email address.
If you have registered with us and decide that you no longer wish to receive further information from us, or you wish to update your registration details, please email us firstname.lastname@example.org. Please allow 7 days for your request to be actioned.

Access & Accuracy Of Your Personal Information
If you believe the information we hold about you or the organisation you are associate with is not accurate, please contact AUCBG at the details shown below.
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you. Generally, we will provide you with access, except in limited circumstances where we are permitted by law to refuse access. You must direct any requests to the AUCBG. We may charge a fee for providing access, which will not exceed our reasonable expenses incurred in responding to your request, including photocopying and administrative expenses.
